2024年2月26日～3月1日にスペイン マドリードのコンベンションセンターIFEMAにおいて「Celonis Kickoff Camp」が開催され、このイベントにCelonis社員として参加する機会がありました。グローバルのCelonis全社員が2000名超が一同に会するという壮大なスケールで開催されたこのイベントは、ビジネス・製品・サービス戦略発表や、部門・テーマに応じた分科会、プレゼンコンテスト、交流パーティーなど充実したアジェンダで構成され、白熱した５日間となりました。
The Celonis Kickoff Camp was held at the IFEMA Convention Center in Madrid, Spain, from February 26 to March 1, 2024. It was a grand-scale event where over 2,000 Celonis employees from around the globe gathered to share business, product, and service strategies, participate in keynote and breakout sessions, presentation contests, and enjoy networking parties, making it an intense five days.
経営陣からのメッセージでは、ユーザー企業にとっての利用価値を最大化することの重要性が強調され、それを実現するための多岐に渡る方針の発表や、特に製品面では昨年発表された“Celonis Process Intelligence Graph”のコンセプト、事例、開発状況が共有され、Process Excellence推進の取り組みを力強くサポートするプラットフォームとしての大幅な進化を感じ取ることができました。また各リージョンからの発表では日本法人社長である村瀬さんも登壇し、日本での普及が急速に進んでいる点や、プロジェクトでは高い満足度を得られている点、新しい組織にも関わらずファミリーライクな企業文化が醸成されている点など、グローバルの大観衆を前に、ジョークも交えながら英語でプレゼンされ日本からのメンバーには大変誇らしい場面もありました。
What was emphasized in message from executives was the importance of maximizing value for user companies. A wide range of initiatives to achieve this were announced, and in particular, on the product side, the concept, use cases, and development status of the “Celonis Process Intelligence Graph,” which was announced last year, were shared. This information conveyed a significant evolution of the platform as a strong capability for driving customers’ Process Excellence initiatives. In the presentations from each region, Mr. Murase, the head of the Japanese subsidiary, also took the stage. He spoke in front of a global audience about the rapid growth in Japan, the high satisfaction achieved in key projects, and the cultivation of a family-like corporate culture, despite being a new organization. He mixed in jokes during his talk, which was a particularly proud moment for the members from Japan.
さらにはランチやパーティーなどでは、エグゼクティブと直接会話できる機会も設けられ、創業者やグローバル役員と交流することができました。なかでも、日本オフィスのスタートアップ時に大変お世話になった共同創業者・共同代表取締役であるBastian Nominacherは、本ブログを立ち上げたこともお見知りおき頂いていたようで、励ましの声を頂き、個々の社員の活動まで気を配るお人柄にあらためて感服しました。
During lunches and parties, I had a chance to have some conversations with the founders and executives of the headquarters. Among these, Bastian Nominacher, the Co-Founder and Co-CEO, who I used to work a lot together in the start-up phase of Japan entity four years ago, gave me warm words to encourage my writing this blog of “insightis.” I was deeply impressed with his thoughtfulness that recognizing my activity.
また、Process Miningの生みの親、ゴッドファーザーであり、Chief ScientistのWil van der Aalst博士が、たまたまランチタイムに目の前に座られ、4年前にProcess Miningの世界に足を踏み入れて以来、書籍や動画を通じ長年憧れていた人物だけに緊張しましたが思い切って声をかけたところ、非常に気さくに応じてくださり「業務改善への意識が高い日本企業は、ドイツ企業と共通している点も多くProcess Mining理論は受け入れられやすいと思う。」といった話を伺うことができました。
Also, during the lunchtime, I had the chance to sit across from Dr. Wil van der Aalst, the godfather of Process Mining, Celonis Chief Scientist. I have been always inspired by his books and videos since I started my job in the world of Process Mining four years ago, and lucky enough, I had a chance to talk with him in this event. He shared his view for Japan market, “Japanese companies, which have a high enthusiasm of business process improvement, share many commonalities with German companies, making it easier for Process Mining theory to be accepted.” Looking forward to seeing him again in Japan.
CelonisのCheif EvangelistであるLars Reinkemeyer博士は、独シーメンス社でプロセスマイニングを推進された立役者として知られ、著書も「プロセスマイニングの衝撃」として国内で出版されていますが、以前の来日の際にもお時間を頂いたこともあったため、旧交を温めることができました。新刊を意欲的に執筆されている話や、日本企業でのプロセスガバナンスについての議論にも丁寧に応じて頂きました。
Dr. Lars Reinkemeyer, Celonis Cheif Evangelist, who is famous for his successful accomplishment with digital transformation projects with process mining theory in Seimens, also a writer for “Process Mining in Action.” Since I had a chance to talk with him in Japan, he kindly took time for conversation with me, told me about his a new book and joined a discussion of challenges for Japanese companies in terms of process governance.
Celonis Kick Off Campでは、戦略発表にとどまらず、こうしたエグゼクティブとの交流やグローバルで働く方々との交流を通し、オープンで話しやすい企業カルチャーを改めて体験できる場としても大変恵まれた機会となり、私のキャリアのなかでも印象深いイベントとなりました。Celonis Kick Off Campを企画・運営頂いた多くの方々に感謝したいと思います。
Celonis Kick Off Camp was not only an opportunity for strategy sharing from top, but also a great chance for networking with global team, and for realizing the corporate culture of openness. Celonis Kick Off Camp is definitely one of the most impressive global events in my career, and I would like to appreciate for many people who organized the event.
